"Ardbeg is a popular Scotch whisky in Islay.
Ardbeg's event "Ardbeg Day" is held every year, and we can taste limited whisky of the year.
I had never joined the event, I decided to join the event when I knew the limited bottles.
This event is held in all over the world on the same days.

Contents of the event
The followings are list of the contents.
- Introduction of Kelpie
- The participants win an original cocktail after capturing rare characters on the screen
- Flying above islay by VR (I did not try it)
- Summon Kelpie (I did not try it)
- The participants can taste Ardbeg 10Y, Uigeadail, Corryvreckan, and Kelpie.
1 Drink ticket is sold at 800 Yen. 10Y is 1 shot, others are an half shot at 1 ticket.
Pre-order ticket buyers can get 3 tickets at 2,000 Yen.

An original cocktail based on Ardbeg. Kahlua and coffee beans are in it.
The machine at right side of the screen is for summoning kelpie.
Nobelties
The participants get a newspaper, and a badge. A sticker is provided for registered participants.
Original tumbler is sold at 500 Yen.
Taste of Kelpie
This year's limited edition is Ardbeg Kelpie.Kelpie is a spirit of the sea. It is like a Kappa in Japan.
I do not remember the smell of the whisky.
Also, I do not know the color because the place was green.
I remember the taste clearly, it is different from standard Ardbeg 10 years old, it has strong sweetness.
But it is different from the sweetness of sherry cusk. It is like Dashi.
Dashi is a soup of seaweed, fish or pork.
Salty feeling is like the 10 Years old.
I prefer the Kelpie than 10 Years old.
However, I like dark cove.
Where can we get Kelpie?
We cannot buy Kelpie bottle at the event place.
The kelpie bottles are handled by department stores or super markets.
I searched kelpie at online stores(Amazon, Rakuten, Yahoo), but there is no stock.
In addition, individual resellers are selling at high price.
Finally, I got the kelpie. Review.
I got the Kelpie at Seijo-Ishii(Super market) in Ebisu.a
I smelled it, Organic solvent, seashore, slight chocolate.
Somehow, I did not feel sweet taste. I felt tasty than now when I tried Kelpie first time.
The bottle is about 13,000 Yen include tax. Cost performance is not good.
I sealed the bottle and I hope the time passing gives good change to the bottle.
